It helps by reducing fear before labor. This is important because fear can prevent muscles from functioning efficiently in labor. Hypnosis for childbirth conditions the body’s natural endorphins and oxytocin to replace the stress hormones that can constrict muscles and cause pain. Hypnobirthing has a goal to give birth back to women. Doula services include physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most supported birth experience possible. Services come with a specialized approach to helping mothers reframe the birth experience, relieve negative mental patterns, and one-on-one clinical hypnosis during labor to reduce discomfort. Professional labor companion services are offered based on availability.
